Escape Tour Company will confirm your group travel booking and the services provided in writing. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure details contained within the confirmation are accurate. Escape Tour Company declines all liability for loss or inconveniences which may arise out of inaccurate bookings and reserves the right to decline any booking.

2 Coach Operator and Vehicles

Escape Tour Company reserves the right to appoint any coach operator to undertake the works contracted, or to amend seat capacity and type of vehicle.

3 Coach Hire Period

The period of hire will be detailed on our written confirmation. Escape Tour Company reserves the right to make a proportionate additional charge should the hire period be extended or altered from the details confirmed. Escape Tour Company does not guarantee any journey will be completed in any given time and will not be held accountable for any loss or inconvenience which may arise from the delay or detention of any vehicle arising from any cause whatsoever.

4 Coach Drivers Hours Regulations

Driving hours are regulated by law. The hirer undertakes to abide by all statutory requirements and regulations that may in any way effect the journey in question. Coach Company’s are familiar with these regulations and drivers will comply with all reasonable requests by members of the group. The driver will ultimately determine reasonableness in all circumstances.

5 Depart, Return and Stops En Route

Exact places of departure, stops en route and destination(s) will be detailed in our written confirmation. The hirer will depart from the destination or stopping places at the agreed times to ensure compliance with the Drivers Hours Regulations. On no account will the driver wait for a member of the group who has failed to meet the vehicle at the appointed time. Escape Tour Company declines all liability for loss, inconvenience, damage or injury arising from failure to convey appointed depart and return conditions to members of the group.

Coach parking is not included in the price of hire unless specifically detailed on your quotation. An additional charge will be made to cover parking and waiting during hire.

7 Permits

Permits are not included in the price of hire unless specifically detailed on your quotation. An additional charge will be made to cover any permits required during hire.

8 Payment Terms

Full payment must be received fourteen days prior to the date of departure. Failure to comply with these terms will deem the booking automatically cancelled without prior notice from Escape Tour Company.

Account Customers – Invoiced accordingly.

9 Your Cancellation

All instructions must be received from the hirer and the hirer will be responsible for any cancellation charges that may become due.

10 Coach Hire Cancellation Charges

7 or more days notice to departure – 100% refund.
1 – 6 days notice to departure – 75% refund.
Day of departure – No refund.
Other services may incur alternative charges.

11 Our Cancellation

Escape Tour Company reserves the right to cancel any Group Travel booking giving reasonable notice. Escape Tour Company declines all liability for loss or inconvenience suffered as a consequence of such action.

Where the services we provide include entrance to attractions and venues, and or using the services of other such organisations, you are requested to observe and abide by their rules and regulations. The organisation may refuse your entry under any circumstances they seem relevant.

13 Conduct On Board Vehicles

Passengers are requested to observe and abide by the rules and regulations operated by the Coach Company. When travelling on board vehicles a passenger will be refused entry or be asked to leave should their conduct be offensive, cause or likely to cause damage to the vehicle or affect the comfort or safety of fellow passengers and other road users. Passengers must leave the vehicle if asked by an authorised person.

14 Personnel Working With Children

All personnel employed by Escape Tour Company and with access to children will be assessed in accordance with Surrey County Council procedures regarding the disclosure of criminal backgrounds. Subsequently, we confirm only those personnel confirmed as ‘cleared’ will be employed on school transport contracts.

15 Alcohol On Board Vehicles

No alcohol will be consumed or stored inside the vehicle at any time under any circumstances. Illness on board the vehicle from consuming alcohol may incur a charge as directed by the Coach Company and payable to the driver.

16 Smoking On Board Vehicles

Smoking is not permitted on board vehicles. Offenders will be requested to refrain from smoking or leave.

17 Personal Property and Luggage

Escape Tour Company and the Coach Company decline all liability for the loss or inconvenience suffered from damage to or loss of luggage or personal property carried on board vehicles during the period of hire or whilst on tour. The carriage of luggage is entirely at the owners’ risk.

18 Pets

Dogs and other pets are not permitted on board the vehicles. Guide dogs are normally allowed but must be stated when booking.

If you have a problem or complaint you should firstly bring it to the attention of the driver or where available, Escape Tour Company representative. If this is unsatisfactory you should notify Escape Tour Company in writing within seven days after the return date of your hire.

20 Acceptance

Acceptance of our quotation implies acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions and any Specific Conditions listed on your quotation.
